Ruggedly handsome and extremely prolific actor, mostly on TV. Urich kicked off a small-screen career that has spanned three decades as Bob, in the short-lived TV spin-off of Paul Mazursky's feature film BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE (1969). From there he moved to the series "S.W.A.T" (1975-77), playing the first of several kind-hearted characters whose job it is to protect the innocent. Among Urich's more notable series are "Vega$" (1978-81), "Spenser: For Hire" (1985-88) and, in a recurring role as a tennis pro, "Soap." Urich has also had major roles in over 20 miniseries and TV movies, including LONESOME DOVE (1989), the true-crime drama BLIND FAITH (1990) and the last of the Cold War TV movies, AMERIKA (1987).
