Fabray Nannette

She began performing professionally at age five and at six was working in vaudeville with Ben Turpin. In 1927, at seven, she was featured as Baby Nan in several Our Gang comedy shorts. She returned to the screen briefly in 1939-40 as a supporting player, but it was on the Broadway stage that she made her name as a musical comedy star. Her only important film appearance was in the musical THE BAND WAGON (1953), in which she performed memorably with Fred Astaire and Jack Buchanan in the famous Triplets number. She is the widow of screenwriter Ranald MacDougall.
