Opleiding: Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson NY Genteel blonde stage actress, frequently described as one of America's most underrated and underused leading ladies. Danner first won notice for her winsome performance in the off-Broadway play Summertree (1968) and earned a Tony for her Broadway debut as a free-spirited young divorcee in Butterflies Are Free (1969). With her gentle, cultivated manner, warm voice and fresh-faced good looks, she has been cast as Thomas Jefferson's young wife, in the musical 1776 (1972); a Hollywood scriptgirl, in the warm-hearted comedy HEARTS OF THE WEST (1975); Robert Duvall's stalwart spouse, in THE GREAT SANTINI (1979); and a Jewish mother, in Neil Simon's BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS (1986). On TV Danner starred opposite Ken Howard in the short-lived but witty comedy series "Adam's Rib" (1973) and opposite Stephen Collins in "Tattinger's" (1988-89), produced by her husband since 1969, Bruce Paltrow. She gave a moving performance as a wife whose marriage is unraveling in the TV movie TOO FAR TO GO (1979), based on short stories by John Updike, and was memorable as Joanne Woodward's frustrated, unstable artistic friend in MR. & MRS. BRIDGE (1990). Danner has been associated with the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts since the mid-1970s.

Hij wil haar toestemming om zijn buitenechtelijke
relatie tijdelijk voort te kunnen zetten
