Amerikaans acteur (1922 - )

Ceasar Syd

Komisch acteur

* 8.9.1922, Yonkers, NY

He started out as a musician, and after studying the saxophone and clarinet at Manhattan's Juilliard School of Music, he began playing with various bands. He switched to comedy during his WWII stint with the Coast Guard and was a featured comedian in the service show TARS AND SPARS and then its subsequent film version. In the late 40s, after successful appearances in nightclubs and in the Broadway hit Make Mine Manhattan, he began performing on TV and in the early 50s gained much popularity as the co-star of the TV comedy program "Your Show of Shows." He later brought his hilarious character studies to other television programs, but his big-screen appearances have been sporadic and have rarely taken full advantage of the broad range of his comic talent.
